These are not my pictures they are form the Facebook page! But I can I just say that I hate about half of TMI fandom right now, after loads of comments about the casting choice. Queue rant.
Lets start with Lily Collins shall we! Lily Collins actually read the books before they started talking about making the film which makes her one of us, guys seriously I can’t even! I personally think Lily is the perfect choice to play Clary and I really think she’s going to be able to pull it off!
Next Jamie Campbell Bower (this might be long) yeah at the start before any of the trailers were released I wasn’t sure about him looks wise, I thought he was good looking I just pictured Jace differently in my head! I did think that Alex Pettyfer had more of Jace’s look but Alex Pettyfer wouldn’t of been able to pull of his character, he would of been able to be arrogant and sarcastic but he wouldn’t of been able to play the emotional side of Jace like Jamie will. I think Jamie is perfect and after seeing him do that front flip on to the table on the trailer WHICH WAS REAL BTW I can’t picture anyone else other then Jamie! For all of you who don’t know Lily was actually in the room for Jamie’s audition and said to the casting directors that he was perfect for the role and I know she was right because she’s read the books! Also, I don’t know why most of you are asking why he hasn’t got golden eyes because I’m pretty sure no one human has golden eyes. And I know he could wear contacts but what if he is allergic to them like Daniel Radcliffe was? Or that that the films producers chose for him not to have golden eyes?
Jemima West, I know she’s doesn’t have black hair eyes I’m not blind but she has naturally blond hair she can’t just dye her hair straight to black because it can go green or a weird colour (and I know this because I just googled it)! And she is beautiful to all of those who don’t think she is because she is probably 10 times hotter then you (sorry to offend you but you guys were the ones who started it) and I think she is going to be an amazing Isabelle because we’ve already seen her sassy side in the trailer.
Kevin Zegers is just perfect anyway so just shut up. To all of you saying he looks older he is 28 but in the books he is meant to be the adult so I don’t see a problem. Also when he auditioned for the role he was called back 3 days later so he is obviously perfect for them to call him back that fast. And also if any of you are worried about his acting abilities just go watch him in ‘It’s a boy girl thing’ because he is just amazing in that!
I actually want to murder all the people asking why Magnus is Asian! Oh course he’s fricking Asian did you not read the books you idiots? I am seriously ashamed if you call yourself a fan and didn’t know that! I think Godfrey Gao is just the best and there is no other person to play Magnus! For all you guys asking about why he’s not wearing any flamboyant outfits in the pictures above it’s because its only showing his shoulders upwards, and for you information when they all go to his house party Godfrey isn’t wearing any trousers!! NO TROUSERS!!??
Jonathan Rhys Meyers time, I know he’s not exactly as Cassie described him in TMI but you seriously can’t expect him to bleach his hair white can you? And if I’m going to be honest I prefer him with his black hair it makes him look all mysterious! And for all those people yapping on about how he’s too good looking, Valentine is meant to be good looking so just go home! I personally can’t wait to see what he does as Valentine.
Robert Sheehan. I love him. The only thing I’m upset about is that he can’t have his Irish accent but that wouldn’t of went with the books! Most of the people on Facebook didn’t have a problem with him, but what was up with most of you commenting what happens to him in the other books! I mean seriously why ruin it for other people because they were some serious plot twists which other fans who haven’t read those parts is going to already know!
So thats my rant over and I think the casting is perfect and I wouldn’t change anyone, and guys if you don’t like the casting just don;t watch that film! No ones forcing you to watch it and all your doing is hurting the actors/actresses who are playing these characters by saying they aren’t good enough, just keep it to yourself!
